If you can walk, you can salsa! Our beginner curriculum is designed specifically for people with zero dance experience. We break everything down into simple, manageable steps. You’ll be dancing your first basic routine by the end of Day 1 and feeling more confident about your skills.
No! Most of our students join solo. We rotate partners frequently during class, which helps you build and apply social dancing skills, practice steps, and allows you to make new friends in the city. If you come with a partner and prefer to stay together, we respect that too.
It takes one month to learn the basics. To feel "socially confident" (able to dance a full song with strangers), most students take about 3 to 4 months of consistent weekly classes. Learning salsa goes beyond learning the steps; it's about understanding the techniques and musicality to improve at social dancing. To become an advanced dancer, it usually takes around 1-2 years, depending on your progress. Some of our students have been with us for over 3 years!FAQs can be added to any page on your site or to your Wix mobile app, giving access to members on the go.
Each class is 1.5 hours long. We start with warmups and basics, work on social dancing, and teach new combinations while revising what we did in the last class.
We host monthly makeup classes for students who have missed a session or need extra practice. We start every session with a recap of the previous week, and share a short summary video in our student WhatsApp group so you can practice at home and never fall behind. Students are also allowed to come into lower levels to practice free of charge but must inform the instructor beforehand to avoid overcrowding.
Salsa is for everyone! Our students range from 18 to 60+ years old. As long as you are mobile and ready to have fun, you're at the right place.
Comfort is key, wear breathable clothes you can move and sweat in. Most students come in gym wear, leggings, or casual clothing. For footwear, a pair of socks works perfectly for beginners. Advanced students are required to practice in smooth-soled shoes, flats or heels.
Social dancing is an improvised dance between two people. A salsa social is when the music is only salsa, and everyone dances together. We regularly host salsa socials for our students, so they can use what they learnt in class along with their friends and other curious individuals to experience salsa dancing in the "real world."
